Where is the online store for placing orders? So glad you are back in business, Moonbat!?
Best croissants! Strong coffee.
I love this bakery. Everything Michelle bakes is fabulous. Everyone goes for the croissant ; I however love the raspberry sour cream muffin. Great coffee as well. Limited seating in this cozy spot. It's no longer a well kept secret.
MoreYou are a FOOL if you do not stop here!
Moonbat...Yum! The pastries are out of this world. My favorite are the cinnamon swirls. I really like a new (strong) coffee they recently added, called tar something. They have other coffees and tea too.
MoreTraditional bakery. Good products. Limited seating.
OMG!!! So good EVERYTHING!! Incredible service, welcoming, clean, friendly staff! Lee and Michelle (the bakers) are so freakin talented!! No pics cause we devoured EVERYTHING!! MMMMM A must place to go when in Belfast Maine I promise!!!
MoreThe best brioche cinnamon rolls I have ever eaten! Soft, gooey, buttery, and sweet!
MoreLife changing. How have I lived 40 minutes from this glorious place for so long? If you love authentically-made croissants, this is worth the trip from anywhere in Maine, really. Everyone in the shop was delightful. The decor is cheerful and everything is clean. Between me and my friend, we had the plain, chocolate, almond and ham/cheese croissants. They were warm and flaky perfection. Whether just passing through Belfast or planning to stay for the day, be sure to try the food here!
MoreIncredible baked goods. I wish more towns had a gem like this. The only thing lacking here, and lacking in all of Belfast for that matter, would be good fresh coffee or espresso. The premade warmed self serve canisters are there, but the bakery would be made hole with a proper coffee outlet.
MoreI had seen posts about the place on social media and finally stopped by. The smell when you enter through the door is amazing and you'll just know good things await you. I had the Almond Croissant and the Almond Croissant with the almond cream on top. They were both delicious and well worth the visit. I also had the Lemon Pound cake. My family liked it but I wasn't a big fan of it because of the texture. You can even watch them make things through the window behind the case of goodies.
MoreHoly cow, where to start? The name is hilarious, but what's inside is serious. Seriously amazing, that is. On one hand, I wished I lived a lot closer because I'd eat here daily. On the other, I'm glad I can't because I'd have to start running a whole lot. Everything is awesome, from the people to the very wide variety of baked goods. Just don't expect doughnuts - it's not that kind of place, and it's all the better for it.
MoreCutest place great baking products and friendly staff even when I spilled cream all over counter thanks for the conversation will be back when I'm back in town from Canada
MoreBest scones ever had@
Everything is charming & delicious. It's a small batch bakery, so they run out sometimes esp with seasonal crowds--that's the way an old school place like this works. If you complain, you might burn in hell. Amazing staff and incredible owners, all bring the sunshine, very "Maine Nice"
MoreOh so yummy!
Stopped in on the way back to Boston, purely by accident. I had a brioche cinnamon roll that was indescribably delicious and a chocolate croissant (not usually my favorite, but they were out of plain) that rivaled some of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to try more of Moonbat City Baking Company offerings on the way back up to Stockton Springs next week.
MoreThere was an article in the newspaper about the persian bun being made at moonbat city baking company in Belfast so I drove the 37 mi to buy a dozen or so and the baker himself said, to be honest I don't know what a persian bun is .no one there knew what I was talking about, I thought it was kind of strange seeing how there was such a big article in the Bangor daily news paper.
MoreCute shop with delicious baked goods!! My husband got the ham and cheese croissant, which did not skimp on the ham or cheese - he said it was probably the best he's ever had. I got the raspberry hand pie, while was delightful too!
MoreDelicious cannelles, worth a drive.
Delicious ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. We didn't have the opportunity to try any of the baked goods but they smelled amazing. Coffee is good too
MoreFantastic! Delectable treats. Great people. Fast service.
This is a real gem in Belfast, if you have a chance to stop, you definitely should. Lots of great options. Lemon zest cookies, chocolate Buchan and vanilla bombs are some of our favorites. This is handicap accessible place thanks to the owner for building a ramp. The amazing smell hit yiu as soon as you walk in.
MoreGreat atmosphere! Made me feel at home.
Everytime I go the food is fresh, the employees are always nice and very helpful. I highly recommend it.
MoreThe cupcakes are so yummy. They have a wide selection to pick from and you will be satisfied with your taste treat.
MoreCute bakery! Lemon butter cake, chocolate croissants and coconut macarons were outstanding. The bright seating room was nice and the staff was very friendly.
MoreAwesome bakery, everything is delicious!!
Raspberry sour cream muffin was fantastic.
We highly recommend stopping in Belfast, Maine to this bakery! We were on our way to Acadia National Park from Wiscasset area. This bakery is phenomenal! Professional baker retired from Boston and now loving her life in Belfast. My husband and I purchased ham and cheese croissants, blueberry muffin and almond croissant....they were incredible!
MoreMichelle and Virgina are wonderful people who bring energy to the community. This bakery has been featured in popular Maine Zest magazine. This food is guaranteed excellent. Get a croissant. You have no idea what kind of work goes into these.
MoreThis place is truly a gem! Pro tip: get there when they open, close your eyes & tell them to put one of everything in a box. Then, add at least 5 additional croissants to your order (since the first one won't make it home). You laugh, but Iām serious. Awesome owner & staff too !
MoreAwesome blueberry walking pie & scones. Yummy lemon cookies.
Great spot! Friendly staff, great coffee and the best blueberry muffin ever! Will be back!
MoreTasty treats! They would not let me see the moonbat.š
The BEST bakery in the Belfast area!! Her crossiants are absolutely heavenly!!!
The Cheers of bakeries. They know your name and the products are superb
It's rare I'll make it here before they're gone, but their chocolate and regular croissants are magnificent! The staff is friendly and while I haven't tried much outside the croissants and chocolate chip cookie cups, everything looks really good!
MoreVery cute bakery/cafe with the owner always there and very friendly. The pastries and croissants are perfect but have to get there early because they sell out quick!
MoreThe baked goods are delicious and they offer a variety of coffees. Their cinnamon rolls are to die for.
MoreSuch an amazing place with everything so fresh and homemade. Great people and atmosphere to boot!
